In our Americas Card Room review, we go over this well established poker site that was founded back in 2001 and based in San Jose, Costa Rica. They’re owned & operated by the Winning Poker Network (WPN). They have a long running reputation as a reliable network that focuses on the tricky US market. Players from many countries in the world can sign up on ACR and start playing online poker.

America’s Card Room has never been shy when it comes to promotions. They feature a constantly evolving roster of action-packed tournaments and competitions. One of their most popular is The Beast leader board. Weekly cash prizes are divided between the most active raked players from the cash tables. The top prizes can be $2,500. A very juicy reason to take a shot at conquering the leader board.
Their Sit N Crush leader board is similar, but it applies to the Sit N Go game variety. Points are accumulated for each game played and the most active players each week get to share in the cash prizes.
Once you’ve signed up to ACR Poker you will notice that they also offer a Casino & Sportsbook. These are great options for those looking for some alternative action when they’re taking a break from the tables. The sportsbook offers some fantastic odds and excellent software, making it easy to place your bets. They cover a large number of markets from all different sports around the globe. You can place bets on the sportsbook, by transferring funds from your poker balance across to your sportsbook balance from within the cashier lobby.

Americas Card Room offers the best selection of tournaments for the US market, with over $3.8 Million in guaranteed prizes each week. Their regular main event is the $215 Sunday Major ($150K GTD) and they also feature a daily $530 high roller. ACR also hosts regular Million Dollar tournaments, currently, they’re running the $5 million Venom, where first place can take home a massive $1,000,000 prize. Tournaments can be found at all size levels, from freerolls and $1-$2 entry all the way up to the high roller events.
Three player Sit N Go. The prize pool is randomly selected and can be up to 2,500 times the entry*. This form of poker is highly popular with recreational players and is a great way to add some extra fun to the game and have the chance to score large prizes.
During our Americas card room review, we discovered a some drawbacks with the site. Most notably with the long late registration periods on their MTT tournaments. Entry can remain open for up to 3-5 hours after the start of the tournament, and is a huge difference from the standard & turbo tournaments some players might be used to.
The site leaves the entry open for a longer period, so they can fill up the tournament pool and commit to their guaranteed prizes. Another excellent poker room is Ignition Poker USA, which provides many tourneys and cash games.
America’s Card Room has traditionally been played with their own software that players can download. However, over the last few years, they’ve updated their website and now offer a responsive site that lets users play poker from their mobile or tablet device.
This is great as many people like to have a game of poker while commuting. ACR offers a great poker room for players who are looking to enjoy a good game of cards at a site that provides great value for the player.
